There have been a series of residential burglaries in the area of Junction City just west of South Washington Street.

That information was provided by Trish Giordano, JCPD detective sergeant, who said the burglars have usually been entering residences in the morning hours between 7 a.m. and noon. “A lot of them haven’t been discovered until people get home from work, but we’ve narrowed it down to the morning hours. They’ve been going in and getting jewelry and electronics, televisions, play stations, games and we don’t have any leads yet.  So we’re hoping somebody calls Crimestoppers and helps us out with that.”

Giordano estimates there have been about 10 burglaries over the period covering the last six to eight weeks.
