Geary USD 475 is implementating Skyward Family Access Thursday ( Oct. 10 ).  

This is a secure internet-based website that will allow parents to track nearly everything their student does while at school. It is a free service provided by the school district and will be available to parents with children enrolled in the district.

To access this program the primary family member listed in the Skyward database will be emailed their login and password. If the primary family member does not receive an email on Oct. 10 login information can be provided in two ways:

–Visit the students school and provide an official ID to receive a username and password to gain use of the Skyward Family Access portal.

–You can also make an appointment to receive your login and password by sending an email to the school secretary that your student attends. Allow a maximum of two days for a response in which they will set a date and time for you to come to the school with your ID to receive your login information.

Families will be able to view student information using their mobile device through a free Skyward mobile app. The mobile app is available for download through iTunes App store for the iPad, iPad Touch, or iPhone. The Skyward mobile app can be downloaded with Android mobile devices through Google Play or the Amazon Appstore.

The second implementation phase of the Skyward Student Access portal will be available in late October. At that time students will be granted the same information as their parents.

The third and final phase of implementatuion will allow parents the option of paying for all fees by credit card through Family Access.
