The Geary County Sheriff’s department is investigating an injury accident that happened early Thursday evening on Lower McDowell Road approximately 8 to 10 miles southeast of Junction City.

Authorities say it was a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.

Tony Wolf, Geary County Sheriff, is not releasing much information pending the outcome of his department’s investigation, but does confirm there was no fatality. He also reported the pedestrian, a man, was taken to a hospital.

A pickup was involved in the accident, and there have been no arrests. Wolf is withholding the names of those involved at this point.
