The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s has been working what they’re calling a suspicious death. This in the 8000 block of North Oliver, north of the city of Wichita.

According to a news release, at around 7:25 a-m, Monday, a passer-by found a body lying near the road. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Deandre Freeman Jr. of Wichita.

The cause of death has yet to be determined. Investigators say they are working the case as a homicide and are asking anyone having information about the victim and his activities on or about September 27th through September 30th, to call Sheriff Investigations at316-660-5300 or Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.

David Mattingly with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Monday “it’s been a very fluid day,” so couldn’t answer a lot of questions.
