A facilitator familiar with the development of industrial parks, Courtney Dunbar, of Omaha, Nebraska will help with the Leader’s Retreat next January.

The two-day retreat involves the Junction City, Manhattan, and Wamego Chambers of Commerce.    It is held at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the  Convention Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Tom Weigand, CEO of the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Tom Weigand said Dunbar will lead the participants through how to do economic development successfully. “We’ll get into discussion on land availability and labor availability in the region. ”

Weigand noted all of the participating cities and counties in the Retreat are short of good industrial land. “And so we have to figure that out.”

The Leader’s Retreat is scheduled January 17 and 18.
