One of two defendants charged in the death of an 8-month old infant appeared in Geary County District Court Thursday.

A check with the county attorney’s office revealed Christopher Lyman, 29, Junction City, is charged with First Degree Murder and Child Abuse.

Lyman was in court for a status check, but Assistant County Attorney Michelle Brown confirmed officials are waiting on a final autopsy report in the case. As a result another status check hearing has been scheduled on October 29th.

Lyman is incarcerated in the Geary County Detention Center. His bond is one million dollars.
