4-H Members Receive Top Ribbons at Kansas State Fair

Geary County 4-H members placed high at the Kansas State Fair September 6th through 15th in Hutchinson.

Ginger Kopfer, 4-H Youth Development Agent, said that photography judging was one of the best areas this year for Geary County. “Our intermediate team got 4th place out of 27 teams and we had 9th place and 13th place out of 111 participants. They did a really good job in that.”

Some of the photos submitted by the members also received some special awards according to Kopfer,” Their photo will travel around the state or might go to Rock Springs and get set up there for the year.”

She explained that some visual arts projects were also selected to go to Rock Springs 4-H camp, south of Junction City, as well.
