Lincoln Elementary music teacher David Frazier and Junction City Middle School 7th grade social studies teacher Abigail Green have been selected to represent USD 475 for the 2014 Kansas Cable Telecommunications Assciation Horizon Award program. 

The program is sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education and the Kansas Cable Telecommunications Association, identifies and recognizes distinguished educators who have completed one year of teaching in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Four elementary and four secondary classroom teachers will be selected from each of four regions in Kansas and award recipients will be notified in December or January.

The next step for Frazier and Green will be to complete a nomination packet by October 10th. The winners will be recognized during the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network conference February 20,2014.   They will be recognized during the October 7 USD 475 Board of Education meeting. It will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Elementary School.
