Audrey Kay Root, Chapman, KS, passed away Monday, September 16 at Chapman Valley Manor at age 80.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 20 at the Chapman United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Trickle, Jr. officiating. Burial of the ashes will follow the service at the Indian Hill Cemetery in Chapman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Chapman United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth of the home; three sons, Greg Root and his wife Sherrie, Abilene, KS, Rodney root and his wife Mari, Ashville, AL, Bradley Root and his wife Kammi, Winfield, KS; one daughter Ann Root, Lawrence, KS; six grandchildren; and one sister Shirley Wilderman, Salina, KS.

Memorials may be given to the Chapman Library for children’s books or the Chapman United Methodist Church children’s department sent in care of the Londeen Funeral Chapel, Box 429, Chapman, KS 67431 in charge of arrangements.

Nina Mae Arveson, Chapman, passed away Sunday, September 15 at Chapman Valley Manor at the age of 77.

Graveside services and burial of the ashes will be at the Prairie Mound Cemetery, east of Solomon, KS at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 19. Pastor Stan Norman will officiate.

She is survived by her husband Donald of Chapman Valley Manor; three daughters, Vicky L. Krupke, rural Abilene; Merle J. Brown, Chapman; Rebecca D. Kelley, rural Chapman; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
