The Governor’s Flint Hills Freedom Rally is coming to Junction City next June.
The Chair of the Rally, Marshall Madill said the past two years it involved motorcycle rides to Wamego and Council Grove. “There’s just so many logistical things when you’ve got the governor involved, and trying to coordinate several hundred motorcycle riders on a ride over 100 miles. We decided this year to just make it a rally. And we’re going to use Heritage Park here in Junction City on June 7, 2014.”
Madill said the focus will be on a series of events beginning about noon on that Saturday, and continuing into the evening with bands, vendors, bike shows, and bike games. There will also be rolling tour of Fort Riley, led by the Governor.
