Two Arrests Have Been Made in Connection With Manhattan Homicide

The Riley County Police Department is reporting the arrest of two suspects in a September 8th homicide case in Manhattan. rcpd four

Officers arrested Christina Love, 49, and James McKenith, 33, both of Manhattan on suspicion of Murder in the 1st Degree.

Both Love and McKenith are being held in the Riley County Jail in lieu of $1,000,000 bond.

On Sunday, September 8, 2013 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Officers with the RCPD were dispatched to the residence of John Burroughs, 68, of Manhattan to conduct a welfare check. At the residence, officers discovered the deceased body of John Burroughs. Due to evidence at the scene this death has been ruled a homicide.

The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
