An October 3rd status check hearing has been scheduled in Geary County District Court for the former director of the Junction City – Geary County Animal Shelter, Lisa Junghans. 

Junghans made a court appearance Tuesday morning at which time the October 3rd status hearing was requested by the defense.

Junghans was booked into the Geary County Jail August 30th, on a Geary County District Court warrant charging her with one count of Felony Theft. She bonded out a short time later that day. Her bond is $5,000.

Junghans resigned from the Director’s job at the Animal Shelter in early July. No reason was given for her resignation.
