The Geary County Attorney’s Office confirms a September 10 first appearance has been scheduled in Geary County District Court for the former Director of the Junction City – Geary County Animal Shelter, Lisa Junghans.

Junghans was booked in at the Geary County Jail last Friday on a Geary County District Court warrant charging her with one count of Felony Theft. She bonded out a short time later on Friday. Her bond is $5,000.

Junghans resigned from the Director’s job at the Animal Shelter in early July. No reason was given for her resignation.
