S-0 Deputies Work Weekend Accidents

According to  Geary County Sheriff’s Department reports deputies responded to West Lyons gcsdCreek Road Saturday evening for a report of two cars racing toward U.S. Highway 77. Upon their arrival at Lyons Creek Road they located two motorcycles in the ditch on East Lyons Creek Road . The S-O said  Steven D. Barnes and Antonio D. Rodgers were going too fast for conditions while attempting to maneuver around a sharp curve. Both crashed into the ditch. Rodgers suffered minor injuries.

Deputies responded to the 303 I-70 off-ramp for a two vehicle non-injury accident. Neva M. Fisher of Junction City was exiting the off-ramp at that location and began to make her turn northbound on the K-18 Bypass. The driver of a second vehicle, Emily A. Forge of St. George failed to yield at the stop sign and struck Fisher’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Deputies responded to U.S. Highway in the area of mile marker 167 for a single vehicle car versus deer accident. The driver was identified as David Sager of Clay Center. No injuries were reported.
