There will be a student-parent orientation meeting for those interested in participating in a winter sport on Monday, November 9th at 7 p.m. at Junction City High School.
Each winter sport will conduct their own informational meeting to discuss
tryout procedures, rules, etc.
At 7:30 p.m. there will be a general meeting to discuss athletic department guidelines, random drug testing policy. Parents/student athletes should attend the general meeting if they missed the fall parent meeting and/or have an interest in hearing about new NCAA eligibility guidelines.
Winter sports offered at JCHS include boys and girls basketball, wrestling, boys and girls bowling, and boys swimming.
Winter sports will begin their first day of practice on Monday, November 16th. A JCHS athletic packet must be completed and returned to the athletic office at JCHS one week prior to the first day of practice, and signed physical evaluations form’s must be dated after May 1, 2015.
