Accidents Send Two People to the Hospital

geary county sheriff badge to useThe Geary County Sheriff’s Department has reported that Deputies responded to the intersection of U.S. 77 and Old 77 highways for a single vehicle injury accident at 1:41 p.m. Monday.

Tonino Coby, Fort Riley, was turning north onto U.S. 77 from Old 77 when his vehicle struck a guardrail. Coby was unconscious from the accident, and was transported to Geary Community Hospital by Fire / EMS.

In a second accident reported at 8:37 p.m. Monday Deputies responded to the 4000 block of West Lyons Creek Road for a three vehicle injury accident. Philip Janke, Junction City, was traveling westbound in a Dodge Ram 2500 when he side swiped a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Luther Johnson, Junction City. Janke’s vehicle then struck a Dodge Durango driven by Lacey Falter, Junction City, head-on. One passenger in the Silverado, Sierra Extine, 19, Junction City, was transported to Geary Community Hospital by Junction City Fire / EMS.
