Junction City High School cross country athletes traveled to the Lawrence area on Saturday to compete in the Rim Rock Farm Invitational.
For the Lady Jay varsity Myrissa Humphreys led the way with a 33rd place finish in 6:43.85. Miguel Espinosa led the Blue Jay boys with a 55th place finish in 5:39.83.
In the junior varsity women’s race Deisjambra Bisio medaled with a 15th place finish in 7:44.94, and in the junior varsity boys race Jordan Butler finished 88th in 6:35.87, while teammate River Schreckengost finished 92nd in 6:37.06.
The Rim Rock course is the site where the Class 6A state meet competition will be held October 31.
