
Robbin Cole, Executive Director of Pawnee Mental Health Services, was recently appointed to a two year term on the Governor’s Behavioral Health Services Planning Council.
The Council is composed of 33 members, 17 of whom are appointed by the governor. One other Kansas Community Mental Health Center Director serves on the Council. Behavioral Health Planning councils are established by federal law and exist in every U.S. state and territory. They monitor, review and evaluate behavioral health services within the state, advocate for quality behavioral health services and review and make recommendations regarding the Federal Mental Health Block Grant.
Cole is also a member of the Planning Council’s Veteran’s Subcommittee.
Pawnee Mental Health Services is a licensed community mental health center and licensed substance use treatment center serving more than 7,500 people annually in ten counties in north central Kansas.
