Junction City Blue Jay athletes will showcase their skills in Blue – White scrimmages Friday night at the senior high. But there will be much more than that on the schedule.

The Future Blue Jay Night activities are scheduled at 5:30 p.m. at Al Simpler Stadium followed by practice sessions for the JunctionCity Middle, Fort Riley Middle School, and Junior Jay football teams in the six o’clock hour.

The Lady Jay volleyball scrimmage is from 5 – 6:30 p.m. and the Blue Jay football scrimmage starts at 7:15 p.m.

From 5:30 – 8 p.m. there will be four activities at the football stadium including a rummage sale of old athletic apparel and equipment, Dance team end zone meal fundraiser, Cheer team fundraiser for old Field Turf at the stadium, and an Athletic Booster Club membership drive.

The JCHS cross country team will also do their team time trials at Milford State Park from 4:30 – 5:30 Friday afternoon.

The Back to School Dance is scheduled from 9 – 11 p.m. at the Fiffe Gym at JCHS.

Those attending the scrimmages at the senior high are asked to bring a canned food items for the Food Pantry of Geary County.
