The Manhattan – Ogden USD 383 Board of Education has approved the naming of the football field at Bishop Stadium in honor of former Manhattan High School head football coach Lew Lane.

Lane was the MHS football coach from 1976 to 1997, and in his 22-year career he directed teams to 15 championships.

The Board approved the naming of Bishop Stadium’s field to “Lew Lane Field” by a 7-0 vote.
