National Weather Service Forecast

Heavy rain is still expected this weekend, mainly focused between this evening and Sunday evening. There will probably be multiple rounds of moderate to heavy rain which may result in areas of flooding, especially east of aFileL (51)Hiawatha to Council Grove line where a flash flood watch is in effect. Much of Memorial Day will be dry but warm and humid with scattered storms developing during the afternoon. A few of these storms may become strong to severe late Monday.

Rest Of Today: Cloudy. Chance of showers in the morning…then showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 68. Southeast winds 5 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Tonight: Showers and slight chance of thunderstorms. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Lows around 60. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs around 73. South winds around 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 50s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Memorial Day: Partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.

Monday Night And Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. A 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. Lows around 60. Highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 50s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 60s.

Thursday Through Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s. Lows in the mid 60s.
