The Junction City Blue Jays ( 12-10 ), have drawn Shawnee Mission East ( 18-4 ) as their first round opponent in the Class 6A State Baseball Tournament Thursday, May 29 in Lawrence.

The game has been scheduled for 11 a.m at Hoglund Stadium at the University of Kansas.

Other first round pairings that have been released by the Kansas State High School Activities Association include Wichita Northwest ( 17-5 ) vs. Shawnee Mission Northwest ( 17-5 ) on the same side of the bracket as Junction City.

On the other side of the bracket, Lawrence Free State ( 18-4 ) plays Wichit – Haysville Campus ( 15-7 ) and Derby ( 18-4 ) meets Olathe South ( 15-7 ).

The tournament continues on Friday, May 30, with semifinal and final round contests.
