National Weather Service Forecast

The threat for severe weather is slightly lower today, with perhaps a few marginally severe storms developing late this afternoon and early evening (mainly south of Interstate 70). Localized flooding is the main hazard. MoreFileL (34)widespread severe weather remains possible on Saturday as a stronger storm system approaches. All severe weather hazards are possible, including flash flooding and river flooding. Additional severe storms are possible over far eastern KS once again on Sunday afternoon. Today: Partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs around 73. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Thunderstorms likely. Lows around 60. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs around 77. Southeast winds 5 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph increasing to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Thunderstorms likely. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 70s. Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.
