The Indians trailed 4-2 going into the sixth, but then collected some big hits to rally and go on to the win.

In game two Manhattan defeated Junction City 14-4 in a contest called after five innings due to a 10-run rule.

Lady Jay coach Jeff Child said in game one Manhattan just started hitting the ball. “They were making solid contact at the right time.” In game two Childs pointed to errors as a problem for Junction City. “Yeah, we had a lot of throwing errors.”

The Lady Jays play Topeka West at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka next Thursday – May 7.
