Junction City High School senior Ebony Garrett is the recipient of the Kansas Boys and Girls Club of America 2015 Military Youth of the Year award.

She was honored in Junction City at the USD 475 Board of Education celebration Monday.

Ebony noted as Fort Riley Military Youth of the Year she has already traveled to Topeka. “I had to do a 15-minute interview, and give a three-minute speech. ” She was named the Kansas Military Youth of the Year recipient. She will now represent Kansas in competition in San Antonio, Texas.

Garrett is hopeful of advancing on to nationals in Washington D.C.
