The Junction City Blue Jay baseball team plays their home opener at Rathert Field Friday against Emporia.

The doubleheader begins at four p.m.

The first game will be broadcast on KJCK AM, The Talk of JC.

The Lady Jay softball team will play at Emporia at 4 p.m.

On Thursday the Lady Jays defeated Salina Central 14-4 in 6 innings, and then lost to Clay Center 12-7 at Cleary Field in Junction City.

The Blue Jay and Lady Jay varsity track teams host the JCHS Invitational at Al Simpler Stadium. The field events begin at 3:30 and the track events at 4:30 p.m.

Eight schools, including Junction City will have teams in the meet.
