The national College Goal Sunday program will be holding it’s annual event this Sunday designed to assist High School Seniors with filling out Financial Aid Forms.
The event will be held at locations across the state including at
Manhattan High School from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday.
Gary Bateman, 2015 College Goal Sunday Chairperson explained that the event is for High School Seniors who are enrolling in college this fall.
“It’s designed to help students get the money they need to further their education, go on to college or technical school,” said Bateman. “We will have financial aid professionals from different colleges throughout the state that will be there and can provide one on one help to students and their families.”
Batman added that it is a walk in event and no appointments are needed. Students and parents should bring their most recent available tax return information to assist with the application process.
Students who attend will also be entered into a drawing for a $500 scholarship to any college or trade school in the country. (Scholarship recipients must be a first-semester freshman n the fall of 2015.)
