A hot shooting Highland Park Scots basketball team hammered the Junction City Blue Jays Friday night
in Topeka 73-48.
Highland Park broke open a close game in the second quarter and surged to a 13-point halftime lead, and in the fourth quarter really pulled out in front to get the 25-point victory.
Blue Jay coach Pat Battle said his team has to be better in all facets of the game. “Tonight we were totally outplayed and we were beaten. It’s been awhile since that has happened. It’s hugely disappointing, but you’ve got to say next. You’ve got to move on.”
Junction City is 4-12 overall and 2-7 in the Centennial League, while Highland Park improved to 8-8 and 5-4.
