Ali McKenzie drove into the lane and hit what proved to be the game winning shot against Highland Park with five seconds to play in the game Friday night in Topeka. Then on the defensive end of the court she blocked the final shot taken by Highland Park to help secure Junction City’s 61-59 victory.

The win left the Lady Jays 3-13 on the season and 2-7 in the conference. Highland Park fell to 6-10 and 2-7.

It was the second win of the season for Junction City over Highland Park.
