Kansas City Sumner Academy defeated the Junction City Lady Jays in the consolation semifinal round of the Capital City Classic in Topeka Friday night 56-46.

The loss drops Junction City, 1-11, into the seventh place consolation game in the tournament against Shawnee Mission East. Tipoff is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Topeka High School.

In other games in the tournament Friday night Shawnee Mission East fell to Blue Valley West 33-30, Topeka High defeated Shawnee Mission South 56-42, and Wichita South downed Goddard-Eisenhower 59-31.
