Junction City was unable to get the shots to fall Friday night on the road at Shawnee Heights falling 63-19.
Overall the Lady Jays did present a strong defensive effort that pleased head coach
Nate Parks.
“Defensively we did some really great things. The thing that was unfortunate was that we weren’t able to put some shots in early to give us some confidence on offense,” said Parks.
Shawnee Heights was led once again by Jazz Sweet who maintained a strong presence at the post for the Lady Thunderbirds finishing with 16 points.
The Lady Jays will now prepare for the 2015 Capital City Classic at Topeka High. Junction City will play Topeka High Thursday night in a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
