The Junction City Blue Jay wrestling team made their public debut for the 2014-15 season Monday evening at the Shenk Gym with the Blue White scrimmage.

Coach Bob Laster said his team has a lot of work to do, but he was pleased with the scrimmage. “But one of the things I was most pleased about, I thought we were in some type of condition for our first outing. Some of our technical stuff wasn’t very sound, and we weren’t doing some of the things that we practiced in the wrestling room, but overall I was pleased for our first start.

The Blue Jays have been ranked No. 6 in Class 6A in a preseason poll. They open the season with a triangular with Clay Center and Chapman in Clay Center Thursday evening.
