It’s time for the Sectionals, Round Two of the Class 6A postseason football playoffs.

Junction City will host Lawrence State Friday night at Al Simpler Stadium.

Blue Jay coach Randall Zimmerman feels his team will need to control the ball on offense, and limit the big plays for the Firebirds offense. “They don’t make mistakes. They want to keep control of the clock. They’ll put points on the board when they can.”

Junction City enters the game with an 8-2 overall record while the Firebirds are 7-3.

Kickoff is scheduled at 7 p.m.  The game can be heard on KJCK AM, The Talk of JC, with the pregame broadcast beginning at 6:40 p.m.

In other Class 6A football playoff action Friday night, Hutchinson visits Derby, Overland Park – Blue Valley is at Olathe North, and Shawnee Mission West plays Shawnee Mission East.
