Band Director T. J. Taylor has confirmed the Junction City Blue Jay marching band received a I rating at the High Plains Marching Festival in Hays on Monday.

That is a top rating.

It also marked the second time in recent days the band scored a I rating. The other came recently at the Central States Marching Festival at Kansas State University.
