Fifty-one motorists in Junction City received a citation last week for allegedly talking on a hand-held cell phone while driving. One received a citation for texting.

The Junction City Police Department issued the numbers on the citations for Monday through Friday.

The ordinance went into effect Monday,  Oct. 13.

Those who receive the citations are required to make an appearance in Junction City Municipal Court.
