SALINA- A suspect in the beating of a woman in late June was arrested Thursday on a warrant requesting charges of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

Law enforcement authorities reported David D. Poole, 44, is alleged to have hit a woman acquaintance in the face and strangled her to the point she passed out, following an argument on June 24th at a central Salina home. Poole also is alleged to have damaged the woman’s cell phone.

The woman was treated for her injuries at the hospital.

Poole left the home after the incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
