Geary Community Hospital officials issued a release Friday morning that said the Hospital is
taking steps to ensure preparedness for Ebola in Geary County.
“While chances of an outbreak in Geary County are minimal, we want to train all of our employees at GCH so they are equipped and ready, ” stated Joe Stratton, Geary Community Hospital CEO.
GCH is advising their personnel in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Centers of Disease Control, and has a policy with a contingency plan that all staff will follow to evaluate and assess potentially infected patients. All nurses, healthcare providers, and front line employees are being provided adequate education, training and equipment to protect their health, and to safely provide direct medical care to patients.
