After the disappointing 16-7 loss to the Manhattan Indians last week the Junction City Blue
Jays have to put it behind them and get ready for district play.
It begins Friday night at Wichita Southeast.
Junction City will enter the game 4-2 overall while Southeast is 0-6, but when you begin district play everyone is 0-0 in the race for a postseason playoff berth.
Blue Jay coach Randall Zimmerman said the 0-6 record for the Golden Buffaloes is misleading. “They have athletes all over the field and their schedule has been really tough.” Zimmerman added he expects the Blue Jays to get Southeast’s best shot. We’re hoping they’re going to get our best shot. We worked that way all week long. ”
Kickoff is scheduled at 7 p.m. You can hear the game on the Talk of JC, KJCK AM, and online at kjck.com.
The other side of the schedule in the 6A district that includes Junction City finds Wichita North playing Wichita East.
