The annual Veterans Day program sponsored by the Geary County Veteran Alliance will feature remarks from a World War II veteran Malcolm Strom. Strom is a resident of Dwight.  He graduated from Dwight Rural High School in 1935, and Kansas State College in 1939. Strom served in the U.S. Army from December 8, 194 until December 8, 1945, and later was called to military duty in May 1951 during the Korean War. During his time in the service he was a medic. Strom has written two books, one on World War II and another on the Korean War. The program will be on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the C. L. Hoover Opera House.  Dennis ( Buz ) Bruzina will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
