The Junction City High School class of 1974 will be holding a reunion this weekend in Junction City.

Class members will attend the Blue Jay – Manhattan football game at Al Simpler Stadium Friday night.

You may be able to catch up on a few memories at halftime when two class members are interviewed on the Talk of JC and kjck.com during the ballgame broadcast. Former senior class president Lucille Martin Pittard has former Blue Jay quarterback Jim Heck have agreed to do the interviews.

Heck was the quarterback for the 1973 Blue Jay team that finished second in the state in Class 4A, first in the district and first in the region. Pittard is married to Major General Dana Pittard, Deputy Commanding General of Operations for ARCENT, the U.S. Central Command / Third Army based in Kuwait.

After the ballgame Friday night class members will proceed to Coach’s Grill and Bar where friends and former teachers are invited to visit with the group.
