Hospice at Geary Community Hospital will be hosting a volunteer orientation for anyone interested in being a hospice volunteer.

The orientation will be held Tuesday October 14 and Friday, October 17 at Geary Community Hospital from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

“New hospice volunteers are being trained for companion and personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, sewing, office work and other tasks according to the volunteer’s abilities and availability,” according to Linda Rigsby, volunteer coordinator for Hospice at Geary Community Hospital.

This is the only accredited hospice agency in Geary County. Volunteers must attend both orientations in order to become a volunteer. To register and for more information contact Linda Rigsby at 785-762-2653.
