Junction City High School senior Amir McFarthing has turned in three shutouts this season as the goal keeper for the Junction City Blue Jay soccer team. His most recent shutout came in a 1-0 win over Leavenworth. In that match he recorded 10 saves.

In a later match against Seaman, although the Blue Jays lost, Amir recorded 13 saves.

In recognition of his play Amir McFarthing is the McDonald’s Athlete of the Week. He will receive a certificate for his performance from Three Rivers Engraving, plus recognition on display boards at the two Junction City McDonalds Restaurants.
