HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A man who is wanted as a person of interest in Dodge City was arrested after a high speed chase in Reno County Monday night. Victor Gutierrez is being held in the Reno County Jail on an $8,000 bond.

According to the Reno County Sheriffs Department, Gutierrez is wanted for questioning by Dodge City Police. Police would not provide any details, although it’s thought to be tied to a manslaughter case.

Law enforcement in Stafford County first spotted Gutierrez. They followed the suspect until the Reno County Sheriff’s office became involved. It was just west of Hutchinson on U.S. 50, where the subject drove off at high speed.

The chase went east on U.S. 50 until Gutierrez stopped his car and surrendered at Mayfield Road, just east of Hutchinson. He was booked into jail for Criminal Possession of a firearm, flee and elude, drug possession and violation of his parole.
