The Kansas Department of Transportation has designated $650,000 in funding for  improvements in Grandview Plaza.

City Council member Honey Grant confirmed the funds will actually be used in 2017.  She explained it will be used to widen East Flinthills Boulevard. “It’s about 900 square feet of expanding our road.” That street runs through the center of Grandview Plaza.

The total project cost estimate is $700,000 with Grandview Plaza required to provide the $50,000 remainder of the necessary funding.
