High School bands from across Kansas will take part in Kansas State University’s
annual Band Day, Saturday, Sept. 27.
Because of the 11 a.m. starting time of the football game between Kansas State and Texas El Paso the planned K-State Band Day parade in Manhattan has been cancelled. The kickoff time on the football game was just announced on Monday by the Big 12 Conference and FOX Sports.
The group halftime performance by the bands will still take place.
Twenty-six schools are participating in this year’s Band Day.
Area schools participating include Junction City, Manhattan, Herington, Council Grove, and Alma.
