The Junction City High School J-Stepper Dance Team will be holding two events to support five senior officers who will be going to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

On Friday there will be the Blue/White Scrimmage End Zone Meal from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. at Al Simpler Stadium. The meal will include pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs, chips, and drinks.

On Saturday there will be a yard sale from 8:00 a.m. to noon, held in the JCHS parking lot at 900 N Eisenhower. Items up for sale include odds and ends, miscellaneous items and clothing.

The high school will also be holding it’s annual food drive to support the Geary County Food Pantry on Friday. The food drive will take place during the volleyball scrimmage in Shenk Gym starting at 5:00 p.m., and from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Al Simpler Stadium during the future Blue Jay night and Middle School/Jr. Jay and JCHS varsity football scrimmages.

Blue Jay fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the events. Boxes will be available at the doors.
