Allan Rothlisberg will run a write-in campaign for the 65th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives.

He was defeated in the Republican Primary earlier this month by Lonnie Clark.

Rothlisberg says a number of people have asked him about a write-in campaign,”On both sides of the spectrum, both Democrats and Republicans.”

He explained that he thought about it long and hard while on vacation in Wisconsin. “When I came back I called the ethics board up first to make sure that everything was legal to use campaign funds that I already have for this, and they gave me the go ahead so I said okay I’m going to do it.”

Rothlisberg’s name will not be on the November ballot, so he will encourage voters to write his name in on the ballot.

The names on the ballot for the 65th District race will include Lonnie Clark, Republican, and Tom Brungardt, Democrat.
