The Geary County Commission canvassed the votes from last week’s primary election Monday at the County Office Building.

Rebecca Bossemeyer, Geary County Clerk, explained that there were only 31 provisional ballots. The Commission counted 13 full ballots, and eight partial ballots. The additional ballots did not change any of the outcomes from last Tuesday’s primary election.

“It did change some individual totals, but no outcomes. Whoever were the winners on election night remain the winners today. They just picked up a few more votes.”

In the Republican primary for the 65th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives,  Lonnie Clark finished with 464 votes  to 317 for Allan Rothlisberg. Clark will advance to meet Democrat Tom Brungardt in the November general election.
