This years Perinatal Education Conference in Junction City attracted over 100 people from across the state.
The conference focused on five topics, breastfeeding challenges, safe
sleep, congenital heart disease, baby behavior, and psychiatric care for perinatal mothers. The speakers included healthcare professionals from all across the state.
Jill Nelson, Delivering Change: Healthy Mom’s, Healthy Baby’s Program Director, said that she was excited with how this years conference went.
“The speakers were all amazing. They all brought great information to all of the people who were present, and it was wonderful,” Nelson said. She added that she did have several people tell her that they really enjoyed themselves.
Nelson said that they will likely begin planning for next years conference next week, and she hopes to keep growing the conference year to year, but at this time doesn’t have any big changes in mind.
