Unlike years past the Geary County Free Fair won’t have a King and Queen, instead their will be co-Queens.
This year the free fair only received two royalty applications and they were both females, which led fair officials to name Brittany Childs and Marissa Muto as co-Queens at last nights 4-H Public Revue.

Being co-Queens didn’t seem to be a problem for Muto or Childs, both of Junction City.
“It’s going to be great because I’m with Brittany, and I’ve known her forever,” Muto said.
The Queens will be responsible for assisting with the awarding of ribbons during next week’s free fair. They will also represent Geary County 4-H at multiple events over the next year.
Thursday night’s Public Revue also featured a fashion show and the selection of Grand Champions for Clothing Construction, Constructed Fashion Revue, Boy’s Buymanship, and Girl’s Buymanship.
This years Senior Division Grand Champion for Clothing Construction and Constructed Fashion Revue was Childs. Intermediate Division Grand Champion in both Clothing Construction and Constructed Fashion Revue was Lindsey Ascher. Clothing Construction Junior Division Grand Champion was Jada Nabus. Constructed Fashion Revue Junior Grand Champion was Paige Roeser.
